SEEMS TO WORK

This wrap makes it easier to get relief to my knees when experiencing pain. The Velcro wraps hold it in place pretty well as opposed to other methods. Ice bags would always slide off but this stays on. I think it works for hot and cold therapy, so that is a plus. I recommend it if you are someone who needs to treat your need on a routine basis.

I've got a meniscus sprain in my right knee and icing it multiple times a day is a must! I got tired of wrapping a cold pack in a kitchen towel and then having to hold my leg still for 20 minutes so it didn't fall off. Looking online I found this product with lots of promising reviews and I'm happy to report Magic Gel knee ice pack has worked perfectly! I do have very thick legs but I can still get the velcro around. The middle strap is the tightest fit but the velcro has got the strength of Zeus so its barely got to touch the fabric to stay and even if it couldn't, the top and bottom straps are generous enough in length to provide enough support and hold it in place. I can hobble around with it on without it sliding down or falling off and even bend my knee. It's a great product and would recommend it!

I got this for my post nee replacement swelling and pain. It doesn't fit my leg super well and the straps aren't terribly adjustable to help with that. The cold also lasts maybe 15 minutes. Ie loved other products from this company, but I'm disappointed in this one. At least it is soft gel and very flexible, unlike the cold packs the hospital sent me home with.

Great wrap that stays cold but I don’t like that I have to put it in it’s bag to freeze.

Sleeve is secure and helps add compression to knee. Multiple ice packs are great because by the time you rotate on and off your other ice pack is refrozen already. Got the hip Magic Gel because of recent hip replacement. You do need 2 hip packs if you want to keep continuous on off but for occasional hip pain 1 unit is fine. Straps hold ice pack right where you need it, you no longer have to use ace bandadages to hold ice in place. Stays cold for over 20 minutes which is usually how long ice on ice off is recommended.

On the positive side, item was long enough and wide enough to completely cover my knee all the way around. It also stayed flexible enough to form to my knee area. The downside, and a pretty big one, is that item did not get very cold, even after 8 hours in the freezer. The side with cloth that is supposed to go against the skin was cool at best and for only about 10 minutes. The side without cloth that's not supposed to touch the skin gets pretty cold, but again for only about 15 minutes. 8 hours in the freezer for only 10 cool minutes is not beneficial for pain relief or swelling. I do not recommend purchasing this product.
